02 · CREATION

The heavens & earth

The Qur’an describes Allah creating the heavens and the earth and invites people to reflect on the alternation of night and day. It speaks of creation in six days. We do not assign modern calendar dates or turn this journey into a scientific chronology. The Qur’an also describes angels and the creation of jinn; Iblis is identified as a jinn.

Reflect without inventing a chronology

The verses invite attention to creation and to Allah’s power. This learning sequence does not equate every expression with a modern scientific theory or supply dates that scripture does not give.

Read each account in context

Open the references to see the separate passages about creation, angels, jinn, and Iblis. A short overview brings topics together for learning; the verses retain their own contexts.
